Mascara is my favorite tool in the makeup box! it looks universally good on everyone, and can transform your look into anything you want. bright, cute, sexy, smokey, natural...and if you know how to apply it correctly, you'll not only speed up your morning routine; but also be able to acheive long thick lashes with minimal effort and mascara

♣ use an eyelash curler. really. I will be the first to admit that eyelash curlers used to scare the bejesus outta me for years, but after i started using one I realized what a time saver it was, and how it made drop-dead-gorgeous eyes almost too quick and easy!

when learning to use an eyelash curler for the first time just take it slow. though they may look like midevil torture devices, you'll quickly see theyre idiot proof. the main technique is to get as close to the base of the lashes as possible. to do this, all you have to do is take a few moments to position the curler close to your lashline. It helps to look up while doing this. Then gently squeeze the curler. if you feel it mildly pinching your eyelid, just reposition by blinking or making a slight adjustment. when your in the clear, just clamp the curler firmly for 5-10 seconds. the longer you clamp the eyelash curler, the more sky-high your lashes will go!

♣ apply mascara in multiple layers.there is skill and method in applying mascara, and it seems the world is full of girls who dont know the first thing about using mascara and end up looking like...well, elizabeth taylor circa 1990's. Not good.
